Medior Mechatronics Engineer

Are you ready to pioneer in the development of next-generation laser dicing and grooving machines? We are looking for a Medior Mechatronics Engineer to join our Product Development Center in Beuningen, The Netherlands. In this role, you will play a key part in realizing the technical performance of our modules, together with a team of specialists.

You will be part of a growing team with fresh energy, where collaboration and ownership are central. Together with colleagues in Beuningen, Singapore, Hong Kong, and external partners in the Netherlands, you will develop and optimize complex, high-performance machines that make a real difference in the semiconductor industry.

Your first assignment will be to improve the performance and efficiency of our wafer handling modules, which include both custom off-the-shelf motion platforms and in-house high-end motion systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, realization, and improvement of a completely new machine platform
  • Lead improvement proposals to make existing control systems more robust in close collaboration with hardware engineers
  • Tune modules and prototypes, working closely with international colleagues and partners
  • Automate the alignment of modules using advanced sensor technologies
  • Build in-depth knowledge of an ASMPT motion platform new to ASMPT ALSI
  • Ensure high accuracy, reproducibility (machine-to-machine), and throughput in complex systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international project teams across Europe and Asia
  • Occasionally travel to our development centers in Asia and to partners in Europe

THIS IS YOU

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics; a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is also considered
  • 3–5 years of experience in high-tech machine development, preferably within the semiconductor industry
  • Expertise in mechatronics and real-time control
  • A multidisciplinary thinker who easily switches between teams and technologies
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to share your vision clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable working in an international environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus
